Pythagorean Theorem

This week in Mrs.Hoffer class we touched back on Pythagorean Theorem. We wrote notes to help us remember Pythagorean Theorem. We had to do an assignment on Pythagorean Theorem in our math textbook. Mrs.Hoffer had to re-teach us how to do Pythagorean Theorem using fractions and as you can see by my example picture that’s the problem she showed us how to do. We’re already on fast learning train this 2nd 9 weeks.

The topic I chose to explain how to do is rotation. I’m going to show you how to rotate 180* counterclockwise/clockwise. First, you have to make a chart of x and y. You put your numbers in the correct chart the way they are. Then you go over to the image chart and graph the numbers in the x and y column. If the numbers are negative change them to positive and if their positive change them to negative.

example- A ( -1,3) B (4,6) C (-8,-9) D(7,-2)

A’ ( 1,-3) B’ (-4,-6) C’(8,9) D’(-7,2)

This is the 180 clockwise/Counterclockwise example using the (-x,-y) concept.

Also, this 9 weeks one thing I learned that I really understood was dialations. Dialations was an really easy and simple lesson concept. It’s not that many steps or formulas that goes with it. Dialations was the easiest thing Mrs.Hoffer taught me this 9 weeks. She’s really developing me in Math because it’s my weakest subject.

Rotations 09/27/18

This week we learned about roatations clockwise and counterclockwise. We learned the formulas to both. It’s a catchy trick to the formulas and is that they correlate to each other. I also realized this lesson correlate with lasts week lesson. Mrs.Hoffer has been really developing me in math so far this 9 weeks.

Study guide 2 questions 09-6-18

The question I’m going to explain to you how to do is number 17 and 18. For number 17 you have to determine weather each side is congruent or not. Number 17 is congruent because both sides are the same length 3m. Number 18 is congruent also because both sides are the same length which is 12yd. If you need extra help see me after class. Mr.Wilson
