This week I’m going to show you how to do two problems off of the test Trigonometry study guide. The first problem is that we have to find the measure of ( X ). You have to label your triangle sides first. Next, you write to the side what information you have from your labels. Then, you write the formula that you have after labeling and writing down the information from the triangle. Then, based on the formula you used you have to put the numbers in a fraction and divide it. (Ex.) sin-theta= opp over hyp. They you put your opp first which was 15 over your hyp which was 24 then you divide. Next, you get the answer from dividing and you get a calculator and put the division answer then press 2nd then press sin-1 and round to the nearest 10th and that’s your answer. The 2nd problem is very similar but instead you have to use the cosine formula. First you put your adj which is 8 over your hyp which is 11. Then, you divide and after you divide the answer you got from it round it to the nearest 10th, then after that put the answer in your calculator and press 2nd then cos-1 and get your answer round to the nearest 10th and that’s your final answer.
